3 Lithgow Street, Fyshwick
Canberra, ACT
Originally constructed around 1964, 3 Lithgow Street, Fyshwick is a unique industrial warehouse and showroom featuring a front office space. Integral Lighting is proud to have been involved in the refurbishment, supplying a complete lighting solution throughout the site. For the brick façade exterior, Digilin HaloFlex—a flexible, durable IP68 linear system—has been recessed further back from the upper walls, delivering a clean, uniform wall-grazing effect that highlights the architectural elements. This elevates the building’s nighttime presence while also serving as discreet security and wayfinding lighting. To enhance external illumination, WE-EF LIGHTING’s OLV334 are installed above the roller door to extend light down the driveway. On the opposite side of the building, QLS410 luminaires provide subtle, functional lighting around the utility area. This thoughtful lighting design not only enhances safety and functionality but also celebrates the building’s industrial character in a contemporary way.
The industrial aesthetic of 3 Lithgow Street, Fyshwick extends throughout its interior. Integral Lighting supplied a solution that seamlessly integrates into the showroom and office areas, providing functional illumination without dominating the space. ERCO Track and Jilly downlights offer future-proof lighting in the main communal area while maintaining a clean ceiling. Their adaptability allows tenants to easily reposition fittings based on how the space is used. The exposed brickwork is enhanced by Artefact T-mini wall lights, adding warmth and ambience to deliver a welcoming environment. In the kitchen and breakout area, Digilin UpDown linear pendants complement the industrial feel and provide glare free task lighting, supporting dining and focused work. Digilin technologies are also featured throughout the office pods and bathrooms. Their Javelin linear system, selected for its durability, sleek aesthetic and consistent output provides discreet, shadow-free output ideal for these areas. Finally, Digilin’s UpDown linear fitting is wall mounted in the workshop alongside Siteco’s Highbay 31-S luminaires with high-performance output, completing the industrial narrative of the space.
